I love, love, love my Excalibur dehydrator. I mostly make apple chips because my husband and many relatives love them. My son is serving in Afghanistan and loves it when I send him a batch of my homemade beef jerky.
I have also dehydrated:
pears, bananas, pineapple, mango, papaya, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, mushrooms, beans, peas, herbs from my garden, lemons, strawberries, blueberries, and made several batches of fruit leather.
I started with a cheaper version as well but nothing beats the Excalibur. It's well worth the investment.

I have to tell you that I love my Excalibur. I have three....3....of the "other" dehydrators and I finally decided to bite the bullet in late October and invest in my first Excalibur dehydrator. I am planning to get a second Excalibur after the first of the year.

Finally...banana chips that are crisp not chewy!!!! I can't tell you how many pounds of food I've dehydrated in the past 6 weeks, but let's just say...I've already filled a dozen buckets.

I encourage anyone who may be on-the-fence about the cost to give up the latte's for a month and invest in this fabulous machine.

I have always wondered if there was a better dehydrator out there then the cheap ones you get at the local stores, that never seem to last. Thanks to this post it sounds like Excalibur is the way to go for a great high quality Dehydrator. Can't wait to get mine and start drying food!
Thanks for the great post.
