Each winter as the cold sets in so does congestion in the chest. If it isn’t chest congestion then it is a sinus infection or head cold. It is at these times that I really like having this peppermint inhalation to clear my head and make my entire body feel better.
This is very simple to make. All you need is 1 quart of water and 1/2 to 1 cup fresh peppermint.
Combine the water and peppermint into an enamel or stainless steel saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer uncovered on the stove top. This will release benefits if you are in the same room as the mixture.
Or as an alternative put the mixture into a simmering potpourri pot, which can be placed in any room that you choose. Or during the simmering stage you can move the pot away from the stove and stand over it with a towel over your head to breathe in the vapors in close range. Getting the full effect.
Do not allow the mixture to boil dry; add more water as needed.
